Version 2026-10-29.1 · Effective date: [effective date] · Applies to Vettro, run by Sheldon Lines, trading as Vettro
In short
- Vettro gives you market information, context and history. It never gives financial advice, and you make every trading decision.
- You must be 18 or older. Keep your account to yourself and don't misuse Vettro, for example by scraping or reselling its data.
- What you type into Vettro stays yours. We only use it to run Vettro for you.
- Pro is sold by Paddle, our merchant of record. There's no free trial and no refunds; you can cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Vettro is provided "as is", and we aren't responsible for trading losses. Your own country's consumer rights still apply.
This summary helps you read the page. The full text below is what applies.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Sheldon Lines, trading as Vettro (contact details on our Contact page), who runs Vettro (“Vettro”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you use the Vettro Web App, the Vettro website, the iPhone and Android apps once they are available, and our services.
How you agree: when you create an account, and again when you buy Pro, you tick a box confirming that you have read these terms and the Risk Warning and understand that Vettro provides information only, not financial advice. We record the date and the version of the terms you accepted. You can't create an account or buy Pro without accepting them.
Vettro is a standalone platform and brand. It is not part of, connected to, or endorsed by any other company, including the official sources, news publishers and exchanges whose information it shows.
These terms work together with our Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Risk Warning, AI Disclosure, Cookie Policy and Third-party Content notice. If they conflict, these terms apply, except that the Refund Policy decides refunds.
2. What Vettro is, and isn't
Vettro is a market preparation tool. You choose the markets you follow. For each one, Vettro shows sourced briefs, news, upcoming economic events, recent official results, why events matter and how markets have typically reacted, and answers questions about that information. Vettro doesn't show live or historical market prices.
Vettro provides information only. It is not financial advice. It never tells you to buy or sell, never gives signals, entries, exits or price targets, and never predicts prices.
“Ask about this market” only explains Vettro's own information on that market, with its sources. It doesn't answer whether to buy, sell, enter or exit, isn't a recommendation and doesn't assess whether any trade is suitable for you.
You make all trading decisions yourself and are responsible for them. Vettro is not a broker: it doesn't hold your money or place trades. Please read the Risk Warning.
3. Who can use Vettro
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may not use Vettro where doing so would break the law that applies to you.
4. Your account
You can sign up with an email and password, or with Google. Keep your login details secure. Your account is for you only: don't share it or let others use it. Tell us at [contact email — hello@domain] if you think someone else has used it. You're responsible for activity on your account unless it happened because of our mistake.
Please keep your details accurate, including your timezone, because it affects the times Vettro shows you.
5. Your content
The questions, feedback and other content you add to Vettro belong to you. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run Vettro for you. For example, we send a question you ask about a market to our AI provider to write the answer. We don't publish your content or share it with other users.
Don't add anything you don't have the right to share, or anything unlawful. How we handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
When using Vettro, you agree not to:
- scrape or copy in bulk, or resell, republish or redistribute Vettro's data, research or summaries
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access Vettro, except features we offer for that purpose
- share your account, sell access to it, or use someone else's
- try to break, overload or get around Vettro's security, limits or fair-use rules
- misuse Vettro's content, for example by presenting it to others as advice, as a recommendation or as trading signals
- use Vettro for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful
Fair-use limits for each plan (for example, how many questions you can ask a day) are shown in the Web App.
7. Information from other providers
Prices, news and economic events come from licensed third-party providers and public sources. Vettro shows headlines, short summaries and links, never full articles, and the providers own their content. We can't guarantee third-party information is complete, accurate or on time. See the Third-party Content notice.
8. AI-generated content
Briefs, summaries and answers to your questions are written by AI from cited sources. AI can make mistakes or be out of date, so check the sources before relying on anything important. See the AI Disclosure.
9. Pro subscriptions, prices and payment
Vettro has a free plan and a paid Pro plan, billed monthly or yearly. What each includes, and the current prices, are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. There is no free trial of Pro: the free plan is how you try Vettro, and Pro is paid from the first day.
Your markets on Free: on the free plan you follow 2 markets, which you can change once every 30 days (changing both at once counts as one change). With Pro you can choose any number of markets and change them any time. If Pro ends, your account returns to the free plan with the 2 markets you added first, and a new 30-day period starts.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles billing, tax and payment-related customer service.
Who sells Pro: our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders: it is the seller of your Pro subscription, takes the payment, shows prices in your currency, charges and pays any sales tax (such as VAT or GST), and provides customer service for orders and refunds. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase. Subscriptions bought later inside our iPhone and Android apps are sold by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms.
Taxes: the price at checkout shows whether sales tax is included or added, based on where you live.
Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. Before a yearly subscription renews, we email you a reminder at least 7 days in advance.
Price changes: if we change the price of your subscription, we tell you by email at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price. If you don't want to pay the new price, you can cancel before then.
Cancelling: you can cancel at any time from the gear icon (top right) → Subscription → Cancel subscription, or through the link in your Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep Pro until the end of the month or year you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Refunds: Pro payments are not refunded, including for unused time, except for duplicate charges, billing errors, refunds Paddle makes as the seller under its buyer terms, the cases in these Terms, and where the law requires a refund. The full rules are in our Refund Policy. If you live in the EU, EEA, Switzerland or the UK, you're asked at checkout to agree that Pro starts straight away and that you then lose the 14-day right to cancel; Pro starts once the payment goes through.
Changes to features: we may change what each plan includes as Vettro develops. If a change significantly reduces what you've paid for, we tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of your current period.
10. The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep Vettro accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, complete or up to date, or that it will meet your particular needs. Vettro is not a real-time trading tool.
11. Limitation of liability
Because Vettro provides information only and you make your own decisions, we are not responsible for trading losses, lost profits, or decisions you make using Vettro, including decisions made after reading a brief, a tile or an answer to a question.
As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for all claims related to Vettro is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid for Vettro in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
Your consumer rights: nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have under the consumer protection law of the country where you live that can't be limited or excluded, or our responsibility for anything that can't legally be limited, such as fraud, gross negligence, or (where applicable) death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Intellectual property
The Vettro name and logo, the software, the design, and the research and summaries Vettro creates belong to Sheldon Lines, trading as Vettro or Vettro's licensors. You may use them through Vettro for your own personal use. You may not copy, resell, republish or build a competing product from them without our written permission.
News articles, prices and other third-party content belong to their owners. Your own content belongs to you.
13. Suspension and termination
By you: you can stop using Vettro and delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing [contact email — hello@domain]. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Cancel any paid subscription first; deleting your account also cancels it.
By us: we may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first, explain why and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of your subscription.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If you live elsewhere as a consumer, you keep the protections of your local law and may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
Before going to court, please contact us first (see Contact & complaints) and give us 30 days to try to resolve the problem. This doesn't stop you going to a regulator or an ombudsman at any time.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. Each version has a date (shown at the top). For important changes, we'll tell you by email or in the Web App at least 30 days before they apply, and may ask you to accept the new version. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account before the change takes effect, and get a refund for the unused part of a paid period.
